'To the Stars' Ring

'To the Stars' Ring

from $169.00

The ‘To the Stars’ ring was inspired by the Cherokee story about the chief telling his grandson about the two wolves that are inside of every person. One wolf is evil and the other is good. The boy asks which wolf wins, and the grandfather responds “the one you feed.”

The ring features a wolf at the top of a mountain howling at the moon and stars. It represents the mountains that we are all climbing in this journey called life. The broken arrow means “peace” or “the end of a war”, which in this case, is the war inside ourselves. The ring reads ‘ad astra per aspera’ meaning ‘Through hardship to the stars’. The hope is that this ring is a reminder to feed the good wolf: to focus on joy, love, hope, humility, generosity, truth, compassion, and kindness. To remind us that we are capable of climbing the mountain. And so importantly, finding peace.
